This technique creates a pattern of lace scallops. It is done in a similar way as making scallops in regular crochet. In the return of the row, loops are togged together as in a decrease, and a chain of matching number is made between the togs to balance the latter. Row one forward: Insert hook in next chain space and pull up a
Row two forward: Chain one. Pull up a loop from the closing chain space of previous row, (the top of very first cluster). * Pull up a loop from each of the three chains in the next chain space, pull up a loop from the closing chain of the cluster in previous row. Repeat from * to end. Row two return: Yarn over and pull back through three loops. * Chain three, yarn over and pull through five loops. Repeat from * to last four. Chain three and pull through last four loops.
Repeat row two for pattern.
